Portraiture
Studio and location portraits for individuals, families, and creatives — natural, unhurried, and true to who you are.
London · Fine-Art Photography
Halcyon Frame is a fine-art and editorial studio making quiet, timeless photographs — portraits, weddings, and brand stories rendered in honest black and white.
What we make
Every commission is directed personally, from the first mood board to the final archival print. Choose the work that fits your moment.
Studio and location portraits for individuals, families, and creatives — natural, unhurried, and true to who you are.
Documentary-led wedding coverage that follows the day as it unfolds, keeping the feeling rather than staging it.
Campaign and lookbook imagery for labels and magazines, art-directed to carry a consistent voice across every frame.
Limited-edition prints from the studio archive, produced on cotton rag paper and signed for collectors and interiors.
Discreet coverage for launches, dinners, and cultural events — the room, the mood, and the people who made it happen.
Full creative direction for shoots that need styling, casting, and location scouting handled end to end.
The studio
Halcyon Frame began as a darkroom experiment and grew into a full studio led by photographer Elena Vaughn. The approach has never changed: slow down, watch the light, and wait for the honest moment instead of manufacturing one.
We work in monochrome because it strips a photograph back to what matters — form, gesture, and feeling. Whether it is a first portrait or a decade-long brand relationship, the goal is a picture you will still love in twenty years.

Kind words
Elena saw us clearly. Our wedding photographs feel like memories, not poses — we return to them constantly.
The campaign imagery lifted our whole brand. Considered, calm, and unmistakably ours across every channel.
I have never felt so at ease in front of a camera. The portraits are honest in a way I did not expect.

Both. Every commission blends medium-format film for texture with high-resolution digital for flexibility, and you choose the balance during your pre-shoot consultation.
